What credits are
Your agent spends AI agent credits when it changes something or sends email for you. Looking things up is free. Every tool call checks your credits first. If you don’t have enough, the tool does nothing and tells the agent why.Who gets credits
- Paid plans get a monthly allowance. The amount depends on your plan.
- Trials don’t include credits.
- Accounts with no plan don’t get credits.
What each tool costs
These are the current costs. WiseGuard can change them.
You’re only charged when a call succeeds. If a tool returns an error, it costs nothing.
When the agent gets back an alias you already have, or sends an email that was already sent, the call still succeeds, so it’s still charged.
Refill and rollover
- Your credits refill on the 1st of each month (UTC). Each refill adds your monthly allowance.
- You get your first credits as soon as you’re on a paid plan. You don’t wait for the 1st.
- Unused credits roll over, but a refill never takes your balance above 2× your monthly allowance. For example, with 200 a month you can hold up to 400.
- If your account goes read-only for a while, for example after a failed payment, you keep your credits but don’t get new ones until it’s active again.
When credits expire
When your account loses access to WiseGuard, your remaining credits expire. That happens when your plan or trial ends, or after a refund. They don’t come back. If you subscribe again later, you start with a fresh monthly allowance. Cancelling doesn’t expire them straight away. You keep your credits until the plan actually ends. WiseGuard warns you about this when you cancel.Check your balance
Ask your agent:wiseguard_whoami, which reports your balance. You can also see your balance and monthly allowance in WiseGuard under Settings → AI agents.
