Changing aliases and sending email also cost AI agent credits. Credits are separate from the limits on this page.

Creating aliases

Agents can create up to 20 aliases per hour and 100 per day for each WiseGuard account. The limit is shared by every app you connect. Only new aliases count. When the agent gets back an alias you already have, it doesn’t use up the limit. When the limit is hit, the agent gets this message:
The minutes are the real time left until the limit resets. Your plan also caps how many aliases you can have in total. Deleted aliases don’t count. When you reach that cap, the agent gets:
The numbers are your plan’s limit and how many aliases you have now.

Sending mail

Agents can send up to 10 emails per hour and 50 per day for each WiseGuard account. The limit is shared by every app you connect. A reply or a new email counts once, however many recipients it has. Every send attempt counts, even one that fails after this check or a repeat that wasn’t sent again. When the limit is hit, the agent gets this message:
The minutes are the real time left until the limit resets. Your account also has its own send limits, which cover email you send from WiseGuard itself too. They can be lower for new accounts. See Send mail for those messages.

One alias per site

When the agent creates an alias for a website, WiseGuard first looks for an alias you already have for that site. If there is one, the agent gets it back with reused: true instead of a new one.
  • The site is reduced to its main domain. www.netflix.com and https://www.netflix.com/login both become netflix.com.
  • If the existing alias is paused, the agent is told to ask you whether to resume it or create a new one.
  • If you really want a second alias for a site, ask for a new one. The agent then sets new_alias: true.
If the agent sends the same create request again within 5 minutes, it gets the same alias back. Retries don’t create duplicates.

Lists and paging

Lists return up to 10 aliases per page. When there are more, the result has has_more: true. Ask your agent to “show more” and it asks for the next page.
  • Your aliases are listed newest first. Deleted aliases are left out.
  • Recently deleted aliases are listed with the soonest restore deadline first.
  • You can search by label, or by the part of the address before the @.
Emails are listed 10 per page, newest first. When there are more, the result has a next_cursor. Ask your agent to “show older ones” and it passes it back. The agent can also ask only for emails received after a given time. Listing emails doesn’t mark them as read. Reading one does.

Labels

A label is 1 to 80 characters. Renaming changes only the label. The address stays the same.

Delete and restore

A deleted alias can be restored for 7 days. It comes back active, with the same address. After 7 days, the address is retired forever. Nobody can use it again, and you can’t restore it. Ask “what have I deleted recently?” to see what you can still restore, and until when.

Mail to paused and deleted aliases

Paused and deleted aliases still receive and forward mail today. Pausing or deleting an alias doesn’t block mail yet. A deleted alias keeps forwarding until it’s removed for good, after the 7-day restore window.
Pausing marks the alias as paused in WiseGuard. Your agent shouldn’t tell you that pausing blocks mail, because it doesn’t yet. A paused alias can’t send email, though. Resume it first to reply or send from it.
