Your agent gets these messages from WiseGuard. It usually tells you what happened in its own words. The exact text is below so you can match it.

401: sign in again

The app gets HTTP 401 with invalid_token:
Your sign-in has expired or isn’t valid. Sign in again:
  • Claude: open Settings → Connectors and connect WiseGuard again.
  • Claude Code: run /mcp, choose wiseguard and sign in.
This also happens if your WiseGuard account isn’t set up yet. Finish checkout in WiseGuard, then sign in again.

403 access_denied: app disconnected

The app gets this with HTTP status 403 and error access_denied. Someone disconnected this app in WiseGuard. To fix it, open Settings → AI agents in WiseGuard and click Reconnect. Signing in again doesn’t help until you reconnect.

403 insufficient_scope

The app called a tool it wasn’t given access to. Remove the connector in the app, add it again, and approve access when you sign in. See Sign-in and permissions. This happens with the mail tools if you connected before they existed.

Inactive plan

The part in brackets is your billing state, for example trial_frozen, trial_expired, refunded or no_subscription. Your plan doesn’t allow new aliases right now. Renew or pick a plan at the billing page in WiseGuard. Your existing aliases still work, and the agent can still look at them.

Not enough credits

When you get monthly credits but have run out:
When your plan doesn’t include credits, for example on a trial:
The numbers are what the action costs and how many credits you have left. The action costs more AI agent credits than you have. Nothing was changed or sent.
  • If you get monthly credits, wait for the refill on the 1st of the month (UTC).
  • If you’re on a trial or have no plan, credits come with a paid plan. Pick one at the billing page in WiseGuard.
Ask “how many AI agent credits do I have left?” to check your balance.

Alias limit reached

The numbers are your plan’s limit and how many aliases you have now. You have as many aliases as your plan allows. Delete aliases you don’t use, or upgrade your plan. Deleted aliases don’t count toward the limit.

Rate limited

The minutes are the real time left until the limit resets. Agents can create 20 aliases per hour and 100 per day. Wait the time it says, then try again. See Limits and behaviour.

Send limit reached

The minutes are the real time left until the limit resets. Your agents sent the most emails allowed for now. Wait the time it says, then try again. See Limits and behaviour. For other send errors, like a paused alias or your account’s own send limits, see Send mail.

Not found

The agent asked for an alias that isn’t on your account. Common causes:
  • The address has a typo. Ask the agent to list your aliases first.
  • The alias was deleted. Read, rename, pause and resume only see aliases that aren’t deleted. Ask “what have I deleted recently?” instead.
  • The alias belongs to another WiseGuard account.
For an email, the agent gets:
The email is on another account, was sent to an alias that’s now deleted, or is being held back by WiseGuard. Ask the agent to list the alias’s emails again to get a fresh ID.

Other messages

The alias changed while the agent was working on it. Ask again:
The agent passed a bad site. Use a domain like netflix.com:
A short-lived problem on our side. The agent retries once by itself:
Nothing to do, because the alias is already in that state:
For delete and restore errors, see Delete & restore.
